Ostrówek is a gentry village (Kłodawski starosty, owned by Ignacy Kossowski) colonized by the Dutch settlers ca. 1789. In 1790, it had 14 houses. In 1886, the village had 15 houses and 128 residents.

Ostrówek is a linear village located to the north of Grabowo. Homesteads stretch mainly on the southern and western sides of the road running through the village latitudinally and longitudinally.

The cultural landscape characteristic of the Dutch colonization has been transformed. No examples of traditional architecture associated with the settlers have survived.
