The village was established in 1351.
The sources from 1776 mentioned two surnames Dick and Niefeld.
In 1820, the village had 112 residents, including 2 Mennonites. In 1868, the village had 34 włókas of land, 10 houses, and 110 residents, including 16 Mennonites.

Village layout - a linear hamlet with three farms on the western side of the street.

The cultural landscape of the village has been severely transformed. The historical buildings are disappearing. Modern buildings are being extensively constructed. An arcaded house has survived in a very poor shape.

The arcaded house was built in 1832 by Jacob Marten and is situated in the eastern section of the village, on the western side of the road, facing it with its ridge. The building has a stone underpinning, a corner-notched structure with quoins covered with boards shaped into the column profile with entasis, a half timbered extension supported by 6 posts, and vertically boarded gables. The interior has a wider eastern bay with the large room in the southeastern corner, arcade and yard hallways separated by a black kitchen, and three rooms by the western wall. The southern elevation has 3 axes and a two-level gable with 5 axes in the bottom level. There are 3 windows enclosed by quarter circular skylights and a single window in the upper section of the gable. The frontal elevation has 7 axes and an arcade in the 3 middle axes. The building is in a very poor condition.
