gm. Stare Pole, pow. malborski, woj. pomorskie Until 1945 Schőnwiese (Schrötter, Endersch), Schőnewise(Gotha),
The village was founded in 1340 by the Grand Master Dietrich von Altenburg under the Chełmno law on 31 włókas of land. It was located on an important route from Elbląg to Malbork. After a new road was completed at the beginning of the 19th century, the village began to loose its importance. Village layout - flood bank Waldhufendorf village on the eastern bank of the Stary Nogat; the village included two large farms in the flood bank section of the village and two additional farms on the northern side of the road to Elbląg. The historical landscape is in decline. The spatial arrangement and the field layout have survived, but the majority of old buildings have been replaced. The arcaded house of Regehr from ca. 1790 and the Dutch homestead have not been preserved. There is a large masonry building with a small park in the eastern colony. There are no buildings clearly associated with the Dutch colonization. Schmid, s.291 - 292, Lipińska, t. III, poz. 223. |
