The village was founded as a manor settlement in 1772. In 1820, it had 40 residents, including 19 Mennonites.

The cultural landscape is in decline. The village is merging with the village of Bystrze. In 1986, surveyors found 5 homesteads - in ruins. Currently, the village has no buildings associated with the Dutch colonization.

There are no preserved buildings clearly associated with the Dutch colonization.
