gm. Stare Pole, pow. malborski, woj. pomorskie Until 1945 Altfelde(Schrötter), Altfedt (Endersch), Altenfeld (Gotha),
The village was established under the Chełmno rights in 1330 by Luter von Braunschweig on 30 włókas of land. In the 16th century, it had 35.5 włókas and at the beginning of the 20th century - 45 włókas. Dutch settlers arrived in the area ca. 1580. The village even had a Mennonite church. In 1845, a railway was built and in 1881 - a sugar factory. In 1885, the village had 755 ha of land, 31 houses, and 621 residents, including 21 Mennonites. Village layout - an oval village (later, buildings were concentrated in the northern section of the village as a result of the construction of the railway than ran along the southern street) and a linear village (since the mid 1850s) with 3 large farms on the northern side of the Malbork - Elbląg road and two - on both sides of the road to Krzyżanów. The cultural landscape was modified already in the 19th century as a result of the construction of the railway - buildings for railway employees were erected. Further transformation of the village was a result of the construction of the sugar factory with buildings for workers and villas. Old buildings associated with the agricultural function of the village have been disappearing. The original layout was modified even more after 1945 when an arcaded house was demolished. Currently, besides 2 masonry houses from the mid 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and several wooden houses, there are no remains of Dutch homesteads. The arcaded house was erected at the beginning of the 19th century. It had a plastered, wooden structure with a half-timbered, plastered arcade supported by 6 posts, and a high ceramic roof. The building no longer exists. SGKP, t. XI, s. 241; Schmid, s.1-7, Stankiewicz, s. 539, Lipińska, t. III, poz. 228. |
