In 1650, 18 Mennonites leased 23 łany and 4 morgas of land from Sigismund Guldenstern. The sources from 1776 mentioned the following surnames: Allert, Dircksen, Jantzen. The petition from 1868 was signed by Abraham Adrian, Allert, Cornelius Jantzen, Paul Nickel, and Unger. Village layout - a linear village and a colonial village - single homestead village located on terpy. The cultural landscape has partially survived; it includes brick buildings from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century (primarily detached buildings), several Dutch homesteads with demolished or modified buildings, and a devastated Mennonite cemetery in the southern section of the village, by the highway. The destroyed Mennonite cemetery is located on the southern side of the Zwierzno - Stalewo road. It was established in the mid 1700s on a square plot. Originally, it had two intersecting lime alleys. Several gravestones have survived - Carharina Haras, Johann Hrms, and Anna Thiel, among others. BF, MP, |
