The village was granted privileges in 1402; in 1552, the charter were renewed. The village was included in the Dutch colonization. In 1869, the village had 1993 ha of ploughland, 12 houses, and 221 residents.

The cultural landscape has been transformed. One of the farms located in the western part of the village was converted into a state farm (PGR), which completely transformed the cultural landscape; the land was aggregated. A housing development was built. Sevaral examples of historical architecture date from the beginning of the 20th century.

There are no buildings directly associated with the Dutch colonization.
