Catalogue of monuments of Dutch colonization in Poland

The first mention of the village dates back to 1676. Before those lands belonged to a manor in Grupa. In 1676 the village was inhabited by 235 people and belonged to the Bzowo Catholic parish. In 1702 it belonged to Stanisław Konarski, the Kowalew castellan. In 1710 the Dutch arrived. In 1789 the village belonged to Wincenty Bystram.
In the partition period the village was situated in the Świecie poviat, the Kwidzyn District, forming part of the Bzowo Catholic parish and the Górna Grupa Evangelic parish. In 1773 the settlement had 13 włókas, 19 morgas, 37 farms with 145 Lutheran inhabitans, including 19 peasants, 2 craftsmen and a teacher named Templin.

A linear village situated in the north-western part of Nizina Sartowicko-Nowska.

No. 30 - house built in 1857, with its ridge facing a road running perpendicularly to the A1 road; located in the north-western part of the village, housing the farm and residential section lined-up under one roof.
The building is on the plan of a rectangle. The layout of interiors has not been preserved. Entrance doors in the southern and eastern elevations. Single-floor, with a cellar under part of it. Connected with farm section on the eastern side. Covered with a double-pitched roof. The loft is usable. The northern elevation is tri-axial, unsymmetrical. The southern elevation is four-axial, unsymmetrical. The eastern elevation is bi-axial, unsymmetrical. The western elevation is bi-axial, symmetrical. In the lintel an inscription has survived " 18...B. M. 57". At present the entire building has a storage function.
The house rests on a brick and stone plinth, is made of wood and has a corner-notched structure. Brick, bottle-shaped chimney. Wooden floors, beam ceilings. The gables are planked. Collar beam roof truss. The roof is covered with asbestos cement. Wooden, double-cased windows in window-frames. Wooden, single-leaf doors having frame and panel structure. Simple wooden straight-flight staircase.
