gm. Pabianice, pow. pabianicki, woj. łódzkie

(Kol. Rydzyny - Mapa Kwatermistrzostwa – 1830, , Rydzyny - Mapa Chrzanowskiego - 1848)

Former Church-owned village (Kraków Charter) in the former Łask poviat, Widzew commune, Pabianice parish. The first Hollanders were settled there in 1792. In 1827 it had 61 houses and 554 inhabitants; in 1889 – 60 houses, 627 inhabitants and 1292 morgas of peasant land.

Large linear, multi-street and colonial village located south of Pabianice, with homesteads located on both sides of the road. Village with modern development and suburban character.

Traditional landscape related to the Dutch colonisation transformed, illegible. The only trace of colonists is a cemetery preserved in the southern part of the village.

The cemetery is located east of the village centre, by the road leading from Rydzyny to Wola Zaradzyńska, c.a. 250m from the last buildings, on a hill. It has the shape of an elongated rectangle, with its shorter side abutting to the road. On both longer sides it borders on arable fields, and on the back there is shrubbery. On the side bordering on the road there are traces of a fence and a gate (preserved concrete posts). The cemetery has c.a. 20 gravestones, made mainly of concrete, part of which has German inscriptions. The oldest one – the gravestone of Johann Gottlieb Pudrycki – dates from 1886.
